Hand forth, died suddenly in London on Saturday. Mr Lanigan, a retired public health inspector, came from Withington some 54 years ago to live with his daughter Mrs Muriel Krieger and her husband, John. in Goodrington Road. After his retirement Mr Lani gan took up do-it-yourself and taught himself French. He went several Spanish holidays and on 18 months ago began Spanish classes.
